Stafford, Virginia – North Stafford Baseball mourns the passing of Blain Kurucz who passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. Blain, a left-handed pitcher who graduated in 2022 and was renowned for his size and strength, pitched left-handedly. On the mound, he maintains a consistent balance point, exhibits fluid separation, and releases the ball with a clean yet loose arm movement. He exhibits a high 3/4 arm slot and maintains his direction toward the dish while getting a strong lead on the glove side of the ball. Because of his tailing motion, he was able to maintain his arm speed while throwing his changeup.
Together with his captivating personality, Blain Kurucz possesses an intriguing spirit. He always had a smile on his face, and he was always happy. He was an inexhaustible source of optimism. a lot to the point that it’s aggravating how nice they are. There was never a time when he didn’t have a broad grin on his face, and that lasted right up until the end.
