Canadian actor Mark Humphrey passed away at 62

Mark Adrian Humphrey, a Canadian actor best known for the role of Jake Antonelli in the Canadian television series E.N.G. sadly passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. The actor’s cause of death is currently unknown at the time this article was published. The family of Mark Humphrey has not yet released a statement. However, as soon as we have new information to provide, we will update this.

Who was Mark Humphrey?

The Canadian actor Mark Adrian Humphrey, born on December 27, 1960, is best known for playing Jake Antonelli in the television series E.N.G. He made his feature film debut in 1988’s Iron Eagle II [3][4] as Captain Matt Cooper, the last surviving best buddy of Doug Masters (Jason Gedrick). Humphrey has been in a number of television movies and other motion pictures. He co-starred in Living With the Enemy in 2005 alongside Sarah Lancaster. He played a gorgeous amnesiac alongside Molly Ringwald in The Wives He Forgot in 2006. He co-starred with Catherine Bell in Still Small Voices in 2007. Humphrey has also made appearances in a lot of TV shows.

Humphrey was born to Sidney and Jack in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1967, his family moved to Toronto, Ontario, where his father was employed by CBC Radio and Television as a producer. Humphrey relocated to New York City after finishing high school in order to pursue acting studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Humphrey lived in New York for five years before moving to California and then back to Toronto.

The four siblings of Humphrey. John, Paul, and Andy, three of his brothers, are accomplished musicians. Lesley, his sister, was formerly a Ford model.

In 2009, Humphrey had appearances in the television film Encounter with Danger, starring Shannen Doherty, and Hostile Makeover, starring Maggie Lawson. He also starred in the Canadian drama series Paradise Falls. He had an appearance in the 2010 motion picture Summer Eleven. As the intriguing pastor Frank Hogan in the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart, Humphrey joins the cast in 2015.

Along with his ex-wife Wendel Meldrum and their son Luke Humphrey, Humphrey made an appearance in the independent film Cruel But Necessary in 2005.
