Marion, OH – Chuck Kumalaa a longtime resident of Marion, Ohio sadly passed away after losing a mental battle with himself. Chuck reported died by committing suicide according to William Kumalaa his son on February 6, 2023. Chuck Kumalaa allegedly killed himself after he released a statement on his Facebook account on Monday. He wrote;

Today is the day that I have decided to end this miserable existence that I call my life. Some people will be hurt by this and I’m very sorry, but I’m sure that’s what most people are used to with me, sorrow and disappointment. To my kids, I do love you guys. I’m sorry I’m leaving such a mess. Please remind the grandbabies of me every now and then, but I’m sure they’ll forget me soon. To my friends, I hope I’ve left y’all with some good memories because you all have provided me with some and I thank you for that.

I seem to just completely screw up everything I touch anymore and my physical and mental pain is just a little too much for me to bear anymore. I was told today that all I’m good at is running away and I guess this is just more proof of that. There’s something going on in my brain that has me convinced that this is better for everybody and I am listening to the voices finally, I’m not hearing the static anymore. I am hearing very clear voices. And if Athena wants anything, please let her have whatever she wants to remember me by. I really am in love with her, but my jealous nature and my insecurities have ruined that. I miss my wife, Jennifer, who put up with me for 25 years horribly.

I have not let myself give her a proper goodbye, or the respect and love that she deserved. We had some rough patches, but she always had my back I probably won’t see you Jen But know that I loved you. As for all the rest of my garbage you kids figure it out. I really don’t care, somebody take the grill, the tools, just make sure you get all the shit out of the house instead of just leaving it for the garbageman. Donate all my clothes to somebody that can use them. I’m so sorry for this.

I guess one thing that’s kind of fitting is I will die alone, Unfortunately, that’s how I spent way too much of my life, alone in this truck, providing for others.
I am in my truck at the Love’s truckstop in Ottawa Kansas.
