After earning her medical degree from UW-Madison in 2004, she underwent internal medicine residency training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In spite of numerous fellowship offers, Rohinee decided to pursue a career in pulmonary and critical care medicine after completing her residency. She was drawn to the job because of its brisk pace and difficult front-line demands for quick thinking. She finished her fellowship at Northwestern and started working for Pulmonary and Critical Care Consultants, S.C. in Chicago as an intensivist in the ICU at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She was a superb teacher and mentor to many medical residents during this time.
Rohinee was very intelligent, diligent, and effective, and she was well-liked by both patients and coworkers. She earned a superb reputation for providing attentive, perceptive care and having a warm and empathetic bedside demeanor. The Covid-19 outbreak may have highlighted Rohinee’s commitment to medicine because she worked hard and without complaint on the front lines.

Additionally, Rohinee’s interpersonal relationships shone with brilliance. She was the eldest daughter in the Beri family and was referred to as “Nonu” with affection. She was and always will be the greatest friend to her sisters and cousins, who all adore and greatly respect her.
