Norwood, MA – Dennis Paul Doherty, age 46, of Norwood, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Nancy Reardon-Doherty, the president of Bright Industrial Hygiene Services and the wife of Dennis Doherty announced his passing on Monday. Nancy revealed that her husband passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She wrote on her Facebook account, “I can’t believe I’m using this stupid platform to announce that my husband and best friend passed away yesterday.
Nancy added, “I’m angry that pancreatic cancer stole his vibrant life from him. I’m angry that he died a horrible, painful death in a hospital. I’m angry that the boys and I are forced to find a new way to live. And I’m so incredibly sad. I feel like there’s a gaping, empty hole in my chest and I’m scared that we’ll never feel whole again.
“We will have a memorial service at a later date. I will provide details as they become available. Hold your loved ones close and tell them you love them often. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dr. Dennis Doherty has left the building,” She concluded.
Barbara Ferullo, a Facebook user wrote, “Oh Nancy, I am absolutely heartbroken for you! I am so very sorry and send my deepest condolences to you and your boys. I am praying for you all.”
Lisa Hauck said; “I know there are no. words that will take away your pain. I am so sad to read this tragic news. He always made me laugh and brought a smile to my face. He was an excellent Pediatric Nurse. I will be praying for you. I am so sorry that Dennis suffered and has passed away. I wish this was a mere nightmare. Much love to you and your children at this difficult time.”
