ST PAUL, Minn. — Three people were shot Friday night at the memorial service for the St. Paul Harding student who was fatally stabbed at school earlier this month, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. The alleged drive-by shooting took place outside the El Rio Vista Recreation Center on the west side of St. Paul just before 8 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office’s Live on Patrol Facebook page. The victims’ injuries severity is not yet known.
On Friday night, mourners gathered at the recreation center to honor Devin Scott, 15, who died on February 10 after being stabbed at Harding High School.
A 16-year-old classmate was accused of second-degree accidental murder in relation to the incident. The youngster should be tried as an adult, according to a request from the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office. Such a motion will be decided upon by the judge at a later court session.
