Texas – Chief Assistant to the C.E.O. of Sonia Showalter Machine Embroidery, Gary Showalter unexpectedly passed away on Monday evening, February 13. 2023. Gary passed away due to a natural cause according to his wife Sonia Showalter who announced the death of her husband on Wednesday. Gary was described as mischievously funny, always kind, always willing to go the extra mile, and adored his wife Sonia Williams Showalter. Sonia wrote on her company’s official Facebook page, “This is excruciating to write, but my sweet beautiful Gary, the love of my life, suddenly passed away Monday evening. He was healthy with no medical issues so this is bewildering.
“My heart is shattered and my soul has been ripped apart. He had a strong faith in God and was a dedicated servant ready to serve at any time. He is in God’s presence now and I’m sure ready to serve there as well. I will adore him until it’s my own time to go,” she added. We have a crowd of very caring fans/friends and I know you would of course want to know. Bless you, all.”

Gary Showalter was a resident of Houston, Texas and he partnered with his wife Sonia, in the management of Sonia Showalter Machine Embroidery. Ellen Watson Kent, Gary’s former colleague wrote on the giant social media Facebook;
So very stunned and sad for the passing of my former staff colleague Gary Showalter. Gary was mischievously funny, always kind, always willing to go the extra mile, adored his wife Sonia Williams Showalter. It was rare that he got irritated. My favorite Gary memories are at a staff retreat, he was sitting outside on the steps of the beach house early in the morning totally alone, reading the Bible, and serving the preschool children with him, as he led the music. He would write Bible verse songs to teach them. I recorded this several years ago. Even after he retired from being the church choir director, he chose to continue with children’s chapel. “The Lord Your God is with you where ever you may go…Joshua 1:9” RIP Mr Gary.
Funeral arrangements will be officially released by the family.
