Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata, PA – On February 4, 2023, Lois S. Burkhart, 70, of Lincoln Christian Home in Ephrata passed away at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Her parents, the late Thurman and Elizabeth (Stauffer) Burkhart, were Lancaster natives. Her church of affiliation was Denver Mennonite Church.
Lois worked as a teacher. She cherished creating art, painting, and playing board games. In addition, she cherished penning stories and essays. Esther Mae Burkhart and Kathryn Burkhart, who is married to Horst Effenberger, are Lois’ two remaining sisters. She also lost a sibling, Daniel Burkhart, in addition to her parents.
Funeral Arrangements
On February 8, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM, a viewing will take place at the Denver Mennonite Church, 95 Monroe Street, Denver. The Denver Mennonite Church will host the funeral services on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM. The adjacent church cemetery will serve as the location for the interment.
