REINBECK, Iowa – The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a fatal UTV accident that occurred over the weekend and claimed a woman’s life. About two kilometers northeast of Reinbeck is where the crash occurred on Saturday night. Patrick Knaack, according to deputies, was operating a UTV with six passengers when he lost control.
Lori Knaack, 53, was thrown from the UTV as it rolled. Later, she succumbed to her wounds. Two more people received non-life-threatening medical attention.

A UTV accident that occurred in Princeton on Thursday night has left six persons hurt. In response to a report of a single-vehicle accident, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team traveled to Princeton, Iowa’s 16500 block of 257th Street.
According to the inquiry, the UTV was traveling east in a cornfield on 257th Street’s south side. According to the authorities, the UTV lost control and plowed into a fence and a ditch before turning over.
A Princeton resident, 54, was operating the UTV. The UTV held five people, whose ages ranged from 11 to 19. Two passengers were flown by helicopter to Iowa City for medical attention. The driver and three additional passengers were sent to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
At this time, the conditions of all six are stable. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team is still looking into the incident.
