Danbury, CT – Sarah Gelish, a School Psychologist in New Fairfield, who was passionate about supporting students and dedicated her career to making a difference in their lives unexpectedly passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. Sarah passed away in a tragic car accident in Danbury, Connecticut. Sarah passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 32, leaving behind her devoted husband Andrew, and their adorable daughter Ava. The cause of the accident has not been released.
A GoFundMe campaign is to raise funds for Sarah’s funeral expenses and her unborn son’s. A college fund for Ava has also been established and any additional funds raised will be contributed. Sarah was described as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of so many.

Stefanie Cole owner of Stefanie Cole Photography and a resident of Trumbull, Connecticut paid tributes to Sarah Gelish. Stefanie wrote, “This still doesn’t feel real. Sarah was one of the few clients who I considered a real friend. I absolutely adored her as well as Andrew and Ava. I got to witness her telling Andrew she was pregnant and we were planning her maternity photos, she was SO excited. Please keep her family in your thoughts as they mourn the loss of an incredible mom and her unborn son. I will miss you, Sarah, you were such a light!”
