Kennett Square, PA – Authorities have identified the victim who was killed in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania car accident on February 9, 2023, as Seth Wagner, a Unionville High School junior student. Wagner sadly passed away from the injuries sustained from the incident. Superintendent of Schools John Sanville wrote the following email on Thursday, February 9, soon after 7:00 p.m.: “Today we suffered an indescribable loss when Unionville High School junior Seth Wagner passed away.”

After allegedly swerving to avoid a deer in the road, a Unionville High School varsity softball player was killed in a car accident early on Friday morning, according to authorities. The crash claimed the life of Abigail “Abbie” Miller, 17, of Kennett Square, according to Chester County Coroner Dr. Robert Satriale.
According to state police in Avondale, the collision happened on Route 1 near Constitution Drive in Pennsbury Township at around 12:30 a.m.
According to authorities, Miller was traveling north on Route 1 when she attempted to dodge a deer in the road and lost control, going off the road. According to the authorities, the car struck a power pole directly. Today’s autopsy is scheduled, according to Satriale. Police reported that passenger Margaret “Mollie” O’Brien, 19, of Kennett Square, had minor wounds.
According to school officials, O’Brien, a 2007 Unionville High School alumnus, was admitted to Chester Crozer Medical Center’s intensive care unit on Friday.
According to authorities, Miller and O’Brien were both buckled up at the time of the collision. According to Satriale, it is thought that unskilled driving was to blame for the accident. He asserted that there is no suspicion of drug or alcohol use. Miller played varsity softball and would have graduated from UHS as a senior in the fall.

On Monday, June 16, a memorial service was supposed to take place on the Varsity Softball Field. Emergency medical teams from Longwood and Concordville offered assistance, according to the police.
