Louisiana – Sterlington Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal accident as 17-year-old SHS student James Sykes. Sykes passed away from the injuries sustained from the fatal accident recently. The Sterlington Police Department announced Sykes passing on their official Facebook page on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The circumstances behind the fatal incident have not been released.

Death is never an easy thing to deal with but when a child dies it becomes an almost unbearable circumstance in one’s life. Our hearts are broken at the recent accident that took the life of SHS student James Sykes. At only 17 years old he left this world, family & friends way too soon and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Please keep his family as well as the students and faculty at SHS in your prayers.
