Ryan Keeler, a defensive lineman at UNLV, passed away, program insiders reported to the Review-Journal on February 20, 2023. Keeler, a sophomore from Chicago who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 275 pounds, participated in two games last year and made eight tackles and one sack. Before the season began, he left Rutgers.

Requests for a response from UNLV were not answered. On Monday, a number of UNLV players, both present and past, shared their condolences with Keeler’s family on social media. Keeler went to Nazareth Academy in a Chicago suburb.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
