Myrtle Beach, SC – Jeremy Butler, a lifelong resident of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina sadly passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. We learned about this from the tributes that friends and family members put on social media. Jason June, an old friend, and classmate of Jeremy of over 40 years took to giant social media Facebook to announce the passing of his buddy. Jason wrote, “40+ years of friendship and memories my brother Jeremy Butler you were the realest truest friend anyone could ever have I don’t know what else to say right now but I love you and I’ll miss you no one got me the way you did brother You will be forever in my heart Godspeed my man.”

Who was Jeremy Butler?
Jeremy Butler, a resident of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was born and brought up in Lansing, New York. He went to Lansing High School and previously worked at Information Technologies at Cornell. Before his passing, he worked at Linkin Systems, LLC in Lansing, NY, United States, New York. Jeremy was happily married to Kristen Butler according to his facebook profile.

Makayah Elizabeth Little a childhood friend of Jeremy from Lansing, New York wrote, “Hold your loved ones a little closer tonight. Jeremy Butler, I don’t even know where to begin. You were like the dad I never had the opportunity of having. You accepted every single one of mason and Tucker’s friends with open arms and showed us all unconditional love.
She added, “Thank you for being the safe space we all needed. There will forever be an empty space down here without your contagious laugh and jokes. May you be at peace and pain-free in heaven. We will miss you so much.”
Christine Alfreds, an early headstart teacher at Tompkins Community Action, Inc. said, “Don’t even have the word to describe how heartbreaking it was to hear you are no longer with us. You definitely are one of the most genuine people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Rest easy Jeremy Butler. You will be missed immensely. The world lost a great one tonight that’s for sure.”
Kalendra Solat who also hailed from Lansing, New York paid tributes to Jeremy Butler. She wrote, “RIP Jeremy Butler. We Lansing peeps all have a bond even if we haven’t seen each other in years, even if we didn’t hang out with each other, and even if we didn’t graduate together.
The deep hurt is still there when someone passes away. I’m so saddened about the loss of Jeremy. He was such a good guy. Many people in Lansing call me Klem but Jeremy always called me Kal,” She concluded.
