MIDDLETOWN, CT — Wesleyan University officials said Monday that a student who was studying overseas died on Sunday from injuries sustained in a skiing accident. With “sad hearts,” officials informed the school community that junior Jack Seivwright passed away on February 12 as a result of a skiing accident. According to officials, Seivwright was studying overseas this semester. Authorities withheld the location of the skiing accident.
“Known on campus as a student-athlete who brought people together, he will be sorely missed by many,” officials wrote in a post on social media. “We offer our condolences to Jack’s family, friends, and loved ones.” Seivwright was a member of Wesleyan’s soccer team during his freshman year.

“Jack was a ball of energy who loved being active and spending time with his friends,” Wesleyan men’s soccer coach Geoff Wheeler said. “It is so sad to see his life end so early.”
